I don’t know anyone who doesn’t have the pyramids on their bucket list! If you might have seen in a prior post 7 things to see and do around Cairo (that aren’t the pyramids) you know there’s so much more not only to Cairo but to the rest of Egypt to see and experience.
Let me take you on a photographic journey of some of my favourite sights to get you excited to go there yourself for the first time or to get back there again soon! From the beaches of Marsa Alam, to the temples of Luxor, there is something in Egypt for everyone!
1. The camels
The camels in Egypt are so beautifully adorned and colourful. Plus, how adorable are their smiles!
2. The mosques
They are stunning works of art, history and worship.
3. The views
Who wants to leave their hotel room, when this is the view! Watching the sun rise over the pyramids from the comfort of their balcony is an unforgettable experience. Want to see more stunning pyramid views – take a look at these 7 pyramid view hotels!
4. The temples
Hieroglyphs galore! You can’t help but try to uncover some of the mysteries within.
5. The history
I geek’d out learning all about the ancient Egyptians during our Nile tour. Read more about our Nile cruise review here.
6. Architecture
This is a cafe! Sip a coffee while you look onto fountains and the citadel and Mohamed Ali mosque in the horizon.
7. The Nile
Admire the botanical gardens while watching feluccas sail by.
8. Local villages
There are many colorful and unique places like this Nubian Village in Aswan.
9. More colour
These spices make me want to learn how to cook Egyptian food! I want an excuse to taste that cobalt blue spice!
10. The beaches
There are so many amazing beaches, some of the best in the world! I still dream about this view in Marsa Alam.
