When you think of Egypt, of course one of the first things to come to mind are the pyramids! Sometimes it’s not enough to experience the Pyramids and the Sphinx as just part of a day tour. Believe me, I get it! If you’d like to relax on a balcony while sipping mint tea and watching the sunset over the pyramids – this list of hotels is for you.
With hundreds of hotel options in Cairo and in neighbouring Giza, it can very easily be overwhelming to choose the right option for a pyramids view hotel. Also depending on how close up and personal to the great Ancient Egyptian structures you’d like to be, it’ll inform what area you should be looking in.
The best place to get a view of the pyramids is of course in Giza, where the infamous Pyramids complex is located. While it’s not the most convenient location to use as a base for sightseeing in and around Cairo (here are 7 things to you need to see there that aren’t the pyramids), it’s a place you won’t regret exploring whether you’re stay for just the night or for dinner or brunch. With the opening of the new Grand Egyptian Museum happening soon in Giza, choosing a Pyramids view hotel in Giza will make this a good option.
Can I stay in Cairo and still get a view of the pyramids? If you’re looking to stay at one hotel as your base for your stay in Cairo AND you want to marvel at the Pyramids, you’re still in luck but you’re looking at options with a more distant view of the pyramids in the skyline.
