3 Yummy restaurants around San Diego, every foodie needs to try!

I was in town for a conference so my time to explore restaurants was limited, a few were misses, but these next three that I’ll mention were complete hits!

1. Puesto (San Diego Headquarters)

Tacos in San Diego I know, I know, not original at all. But if you’re a taco-obsessionado (that’s a thing ok!) like me, then this place is amazing. So amazing in fact, I went twice, and un-ashamedly almost thrice.

2. Brockton Villa (La Jolla)

Can you tell I’m from Ottawa and don’t eat lobster much? After I talked myself out of going to Puesto for a third time, I ended up searching for a spot to eat a Lobster roll. I landed up at Brockton Villa which served it up with an amazing view as well! I’ll admit if you’ve had a Lobster roll in New England, you’ll likely be disappointed, but I really enjoyed it nonetheless.

3. Cafe 21 (Gaslamp Quarter)

A quirky find in the Gaslamp Quarter is Cafe 21. If you’re looking for gluten free, organic or just a fresh eatery, with a middle eastern flare this is the place. The dips from avocado and beet hummus to tzatziki and the cripsy farm to table fresh salad, kept me full for hours!

At first it was a bit tricky to find, but this gem was on my breakfast stop every morning of my trip! Everything here is refreshing and nutritious! From the almond bowls, smoothies to the juices, this kept me fuelled every day!
